The Room That Didn’t Exist Yesterday

A couple in Prague found a new door in their apartment. Inside was a perfectly furnished nursery — rocking horse, crib, toys — though they had no children.

Neighbors said the door wasn’t there before. When they entered again, the room was empty except for one photograph: the couple holding a baby.

No record of any child existed, but the woman swore she could hear someone laughing at night.

Two months later, she disappeared. The door was gone. The husband claimed he still heard faint lullabies coming from the wall.
