The Mirror That Dreamed
What if the reflection was tired of copying you?
By GoldenSpeechPublished 3 months ago • 1 min read

A Parisian antique dealer bought an old Venetian mirror said to belong to a duchess who’d died mid-gaze. At first, it was exquisite — until one morning, his reflection blinked before he did.
Each day, the mirror grew more independent — smiling when he frowned, looking away when he stared.
One night, he covered it with a cloth. The next morning, it was uncovered again — and the man in the reflection wasn’t him.
Neighbors later said they heard laughter and shattering glass. Only one thing remained: the mirror, perfectly intact, showing an empty room.
