The Library That Ate Its Books
Some stories don’t want to be read.

In the heart of Prague stood a library that kept closing itself. Pages fused shut, shelves groaned, and one by one, books disappeared. Librarians blamed moisture — until one night, a scholar saw the truth.
The walls pulsed. The floorboards whispered. Each book that vanished reappeared as a new carving on the walls — titles etched in bone.
When the last librarian locked up, the door wouldn’t open again. And from the keyhole, faintly, you could hear turning pages — and breathing.
