🔍 “The Gospel of the Raven”

History based in *Da vinci Code*

By Joel Nicolas Niño JimenezPublished 9 months ago • 3 min read

Paris, midnight.

A muffled scream echoed through the dark hallways of the National Library of France. In the section of forbidden manuscripts, the lifeless body of historian Jacques Bellamy lay among dusty shelves. Beside him, a raven made of obsidian, with a strange symbol etched on its chest, seemed to watch over him. With his own blood, he had left a haunting message: “Corvus Veritas.”

Chapter I – The Call

Clara Delmont, a passionate cryptologist and professor at the University of Lyon, was awakened by an urgent call. The Parisian police needed her help. The message left by Bellamy seemed to conceal a millennia-old secret. Hearing the name “Corvus Veritas” made her heart race; it resonated in her mind like an echo of ancient secret societies.

At the crime scene, Clara felt overwhelmed. The raven was not an ordinary statue; its surface shimmered with an unknown metal, reminiscent of the orichalcum from Atlantean legends. On its chest, the engraved symbol was a monogram from the 4th century: a combination of Alpha, Omega, and an unsettling glyph that resembled an open eye, as if it were watching every move.

Chapter II – The Feathers of Knowledge

As Clara sifted through Bellamy's documents, she found a revealing clue: references to the *Gospel of the Raven*, an apocryphal text that had been destroyed by the Inquisition in 1234. This gospel spoke of a “divine testament not written by men,” and Clara felt a deep connection to its content. Could it be that the raven represented the wisdom the Vatican had sworn to conceal?

With the help of Luc Moreau, an excommunicated Benedictine monk, Clara embarked on a quest that led her to a forgotten chapel in the catacombs of Chartres. There, among broken mosaics and ancient skulls, they discovered a hidden mechanism. When activated, a scroll sealed with black wax emerged, and her heart raced as she uncovered fragments of the *Gospel of the Raven*.

Chapter III – The Shadow of the Vatican

As Clara began to translate the text, she felt something dark lurking behind her. Agents of a secret organization called *Lux Domini*, a radical branch of the Vatican, were hot on her trail. The gospel's content revealed a disturbing truth: Jesus was not crucified but substituted, and his true message had been conveyed in coded parables, collected by a forgotten figure: *Salome of Bethany*.

Clara and Luc fled to Rome, where desperation and hope intertwined. They were searching for the *Mirror of Lamentations*, an artifact mentioned in the gospel that promised to unveil the complete meaning of its content. Hidden beneath the Sistine Chapel, the mirror was protected by symbolic traps based on Dante's Divine Comedy, and Clara felt a chill at the thought of what she might find.

*Chapter IV – The Revelation*

After a grueling journey filled with enigmas and dangers, Clara faced the final test: to look into the Mirror. It did not reflect images but memories. There, she witnessed the founding of an ancient order: *The Brotherhood of the Raven*, guardians of suppressed knowledge. Key figures from history appeared before her: Leonardo da Vinci, Joan of Arc, and even Newton, all united by a common legacy: to preserve the truth about the origin of the Christian message.

In an act of bravery, Clara decided to digitally share a copy of the gospel with the world. Although she was discredited and pursued by *Lux Domini*, the seed of her discovery began to sprout. A network of followers came together to decipher the raven's hidden message, and Clara felt that, despite everything, the truth was beginning to emerge into the light.

*Epilogue*

Years later, in a remote abbey in the Pyrenees, a group of young people gathered around an elderly woman with bright eyes. She held a small raven carved from obsidian, and her voice was soft yet firm.

—The truth does not always impose itself —she said with an enigmatic smile—, sometimes it whispers among the shadows… waiting for someone to listen.
