The Earth Does Not Orbit the Sun! NASA’s New Discovery ☠️

For a long time, it was an amazing fact that the Earth orbits the Sun in a very precise path. However, this information has now been slightly altered. The Earth, which is a significant planet in the solar system, does not actually orbit the Sun.

The reason for this change is the center of mass. If we take the entire structure of the solar system, we should visualize it like a sports arena. In this arena, the Sun and Earth are both rotating at the same level. Based on this, scientists believe that the center of the solar system is not centered on the Sun.

Nevertheless, in our solar system, the Sun is the most dominant champion. However, this does not mean it can be declared the central hero and crowned king solely for that reason. The enormous mass of the Sun attracts the Earth, but according to Newton’s law of universal gravitation, the solar system operates like a two-way path. Therefore, the Earth, in a small way, uses its gravitational force to slightly pull the Sun.

Although the Earth’s gravitational force is weaker compared to the Sun’s, it is still enough to slightly shift the center of mass. This means the Sun is the center of the solar system, but not always. Similarly, large planets like Jupiter and Saturn occasionally use their gravitational force to slightly move the Sun from its central point. According to NASA’s explanation, Kepler’s third law relates the mutual gravitational pull between two different bodies, explaining their movements.

NASA elaborates that even a small star in space, which may have more mass than another, can rotate around a common central area. The relative size or mass of each star does not matter when calculating the movement of one star. If a star is rotating centrally, it helps to measure the distance of other stars orbiting it based on its size.

Due to the enormous mass of the Sun, it is rotating centrally. However, it does not remain the central point due to the dominance of other large planets, causing the Sun to move from its central point. Therefore, scientists say that the precise path of the Earth’s orbit is shared with the center of mass, meaning it cannot be said that the Earth solely orbits the Sun.

Dr. James O., a scientist engaged in planetary research, posted on his X page that technically, planets do not orbit only the Sun. This happens due to the gravitational force, especially for planets like Jupiter, which orbit a specific point in space.

If the planets orbit the Sun’s central point in space, it happens only occasionally. The center of the solar system is based on the Sun’s mass and is only sometimes the central point, says the scientist.
