The Dictionary of Our Ill-Fated Love

'A'

By HyuPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

absolutely (adv.)

You asked me if I love you. I said that I do.

Even when at that time, it wasn’t true.

adagio (adj.)

“We are moving too fast.” I heard from your lips.

I continued to hitch onto you despite your protests.

You didn’t like the way I was gripping you hard.

As if my life depended on you.

‘cause it did.

alcazar (n.)

If I were a fortress, what are you?

The heroine who saves the princess?

Or an adventurer looking for loot?

Well, who even said I am the goal?

Maybe I was just a pausing point. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I’m just a part of your journey wherein you’re everything in mine.

amaranth (n.)

I would’ve never let you go if I knew my love for you will never fade.

amicicide (n.)

You were a friend before a lover.

A fallback.

A curse.

I’m so sure I could do better than you.

Why is it that when you left, life reverted to emptiness?
