Fool's Errand - Merlin's Plan
Heavy. That's what I felt. I went over to the table and picked up the scroll. It was sealed with a ribbon tied to it. Expecting it to be light, I was surprised at its heft. Underneath attached to the scroll was a small leather pouch. Coins, I would imagine to help me on my quest. I would look at that later. Tucking it into my jerkin, where my cowl sits round my shoulders, for camouflage, I went over to the door and told the guard, "Call the Lord Chancellor. The King wants to see him."

Run with the Pack: Chapter 9
In the nights and days that came to pass, the growing thaw brought more and more life to the forest. The two wolves sought food with a growing appetite and an ever-pressing hunger. Acting together, but without any conscious planning, Bahr and Elha were able to feed that hunger by acting in concert, whether to hunt live food or to sniff down carrion.

Izzoradelle, the Drowned Shieldmaiden Part III: The Serpent
This is a series that I wrote over a year ago while playing on a Valheim community server. The stories have been edited to remove some player tags and player clans to provide privacy to those individuals. If you wish to experience this breathtaking world for yourself, you can check out the official Valheim website here or download the game on Steam here. And no, I'm not sponsored. I just love this game! (:

Run with the Pack: Chapter 8
As Bahr approached Elha, she turned and both wolves stopped, looking at each other from a few paces away. Bahr was still panting from his ordeal and the exertion of fighting off the stranger wolf. There was a deep gash to his shoulder and another wound to his flank. This time, when Bahr approached Elha closer, she did not growl or show her fangs. She licked his muzzle, and he returned the gesture. They were now reconciled to each other, it seemed.

"Can love ever suddenly burst into existence, or does it quietly mature within the heart over time? Perhaps it's akin to a crystal-clear liquid within an unfamiliar vessel, evolving its essence while its appearance remains unchanged. Run with the Pack: Chapter 6
Elha, the lone she-wolf, and Bahr, the lone bachelor wolf, continued to roam and patrol the forest in company. Sometimes the two-wolf grouping (for it could hardly be called a pack) would be led by Elha and sometimes Bahr would take the lead. Mostly, the two wolves would roam freely without giving much thought to their direction of travel but inevitably the direction of both wolves would end up being roughly the same. In this way, the two wolves moved in company together.

The Living Arc Angels part 5. Content Warning.
(“NARRATED”) The angels walked in silence through the streets paying little attention to the chaos that surrounded them. Everyone’s thoughts, most of all Tyler and Andrea’s, were on the innocent child that had been in their arms only a few hours ago. For a moment Andrea looked up and gazed in front of them. There in the road dressed in black jeans; black shirt; and a long black jacket, his face hidden by his hood, stood a man. His head facing toward the ground but it was obvious he was looking in their direction. “Guys, I think we may have trouble heading our way.” She couldn’t see his face, but she could feel his eyes on her. Looking just behind the dark figure she could see a teenage boy slowly approaching him from behind. Just then she saw the boy’s hand in the air holding a bat. She began to scream out a warning, but before she could the mysterious man had already turned toward the boy. Nothing could be seen but a burst of blood and the sudden blank expression upon the young boy’s face.
