Rain, Waves, and Wonders – A Day at Sentosa Island
Beaches, Water Parks & Unexpected Friends

Day 3 in Singapore – Sentosa Island Adventure
On my third day in Singapore, I was very excited because I had planned to visit Sentosa Island. I had heard many great things about this place — the beach, the fun activities, the beauty — and finally, the day had come.
After having lunch at my hostel, I looked at the map to figure out how to reach Sentosa Island. It showed that I needed to take two metro trains. The first metro stop was just a few steps from the hostel. I took the train and after a few stops, I changed to another metro that went directly toward the island.
When I arrived, I was shocked by the beauty of the place. There was a clean, sandy beach with clear blue water. It felt like a dream. I was alone, but I didn’t feel lonely — the place was full of life and energy.
Soon, it started raining, but not heavily. It was light rain — the kind where you can still walk and enjoy. I walked along the seaside, feeling the cool wind and soft rain. It was peaceful and calming.
After walking for a while, I saw a chair lift going up the green hills. I decided to take it. I bought a ticket, which was valid for the whole day, and sat on the lift. As it went up, I saw the green trees, mountains, and ocean from above — the view was amazing.
At the top, I saw a sign pointing down to another area, so I decided to explore more. I went down and found a place with many fun things: a huge water park, food stalls, and a big casino building. I bought a ticket for 45 Singapore dollars to enter the water park.
Inside, it was very clean and safe. I had a lot of fun. I went on water slides, swam in a big wave pool with artificial strong waves, and spent a long time just enjoying the water. It felt like a break from real life.
When I came out of the park, I met an old man from Bhutan. We started talking, and he told me he had done business in Pakistan many years ago. He said something I’ll never forget:
“Please respect Imran Khan. You will not find a leader like him again.”
Then he kindly offered me a cup of tea. We talked for a while, and it was nice to hear someone talk about Pakistan with love and respect.
Later, I took a tram from a different side of the island and returned to the main area of Sentosa. I was feeling thirsty, so I looked for water. One interesting thing I noticed — you don’t see plastic water bottles on the island. Singapore cares a lot about the environment, so they use refillable bottles instead. I bought water and a burger to eat.
While eating, I met a friendly woman from Mexico. We talked for a bit and then decided to go together to the southernmost part of the island. It was a quiet and beautiful area, and we swam in the sea. The water was warm, and the place felt peaceful.
After swimming, we walked back to a big shopping mall nearby. We looked around, and then I said goodbye to her and continued walking in the mall for a little while. Finally, I took the metro back to my hostel.
That night, as I lay in bed, I thought about the whole day. It was full of fun, new places, friendly people, and special memories. Sentosa Island is not just beautiful — it is full of surprises. I will never forget this amazing day.
