Peace or unrest: Who is the most loved?
Peace or unrest in life depends on your karma. Rajveer was a big industrialist. He had a full family. Parents, wife, three children, two brothers and their families. All the brothers lived in different parts of a big building. All three brothers had their own industries. But, despite so much wealth, there was no happiness. The main reason for this was their lifestyle and materialism. They always kept comparing. Who has what? I have better or he has better? This was not only a matter of family. Rather, the whole society was in the same condition. In the age of social media, it is not so important to be happy. Rather, it is important to show to others that we are very happy, joyful, in luxury. Family is the unit of society. Society is a mirror. As are the people, so is the society.
Shanti Math: Suggestion
Once Rajveer was sitting in his office worried. He was having a severe headache. Then Vijay, who worked in his office, asked Rajveer, “What happened sir? Are you not feeling well?” To this Rajveer replied, “Yes! I am not feeling well, I have a headache. I don’t know what to do! Even after so much hard work, money, fame, I don’t have peace. My mind is always restless. Some obstacle or problem always comes.” To this Vijay replied, “Sir! There is a meditation center named ‘Shanti Math’ near the city. Many people go there to get rid of problems like restlessness, anxiety and depression. The Guru of Shantimath is also very popular among the youth. If you want, you can go there and see.”
Shanti Math: Social Media Promotion
Rajveer liked what Vijay said. Rajveer asked Vijay to send the address of Shantimath through WhatsApp. Rajveer went home and told this to his family. Everyone got very excited. Everyone said, “Yes yes! Who doesn’t know that Guru ji? He has disciples in India and abroad. Take a selfie with them. Also, record a video from the ashram and send it. We will send it to the social media team. It will be good publicity.” Rajveer also liked this suggestion. The real problem was unrest. But, these people were thinking of the solution as ‘social media promotion’. This is not only the problem of these people. These are such times. People look for peace in an extrovert life.
Shanti Math: Morning Program
Rajveer reaches Shanti Math. Participates in the morning program. Where he does pranayama, yogasana and light physical exercises with other people. After this, he tries to sit in a calm posture. But, how can any sadhak sit in a completely calm posture on the very first day? That too who was so restless. Rajveer could not sit in a calm posture even for 30 seconds. Sometimes he would turn here, sometimes there, sometimes scratch his hair, sometimes twist his fingers. Some time passed like this and the morning program ended. As per the consent of all the people, the work of the monastery was divided among the people. Rajveer found the work of picking leaves to be the easiest. He chose that work.
Rajveer's Regret
After picking leaves for some time, he started feeling tired. He felt as if he had got stuck somewhere. Then, he took out his phone and started making videos of the monastery and started sending them to his family and the social media team. After sending the video, he started waiting for food. He was now regretting coming here. He was thinking, “I have come here after wasting a whole day. There is no peace anywhere. Rather, unrest is increasing. If I had talked to Guru Ji, I would have taken a solution and left. I wonder how people live such a dull life here? Waking up in the morning, exercise, then meditation, food will also be available after bathing, that too only twice, simple food, simple clothes, they also talk so little among themselves. What will these people do with so much peace?
Rajveer met Guru Ji
Somehow the day passed and it was evening. Now time was allotted to meet Guruji one by one. When Rajveer's turn came, he fell at Baba's feet. He said to Baba, "Guruji! I have a lot of troubles, that is why I have come to you." Everyone said, "You have the solution to all the problems." Guruji asked, "What is the problem?" Rajveer said, "Babaji! I have wealth and property, but I don't have peace. I have come in search of peace." Guruji smiled and said, "How much do you need peace?" Rajveer replied, "Babaji! Now I only need peace in life and nothing else." Babaji said, "Okay! Stay in the monastery for a month. Then let's see what changes come in you."
It is difficult to leave unrest
Hearing Guruji's words, Rajveer started saying in a hurry, "No! No! One month is too much. I cannot stay for so long. My whole business will be ruined." To this Guruji said, "Okay! Wait for a week and see!" On this Rajveer said, “But, my son's birthday is after four days. If I don't go there then you understand what a family dispute is like. People will start judging my relationship with my son. Relatives and friends will think I am miserly.” Guruji replied smilingly, “No Rajveer! I don't think I have such a family, such relatives or friends.” Then Rajveer said, “Oh Guruji! It is good that you don't have a family. At least you have peace. Because of this family affair, all the peace has turned into unrest.”
It is difficult to make a wise person understand
Hearing all this, Baba Ji asked Rajveer, “If you want so much peace and your family is the reason for unrest, then why don’t you leave this family?” Surprised by this, Rajveer said, “What are you saying Guruji? Then what will people say? What will the world say? I have so much respect! I have earned it with so much hard work. I cannot leave it.” Guru Ji asked again, “Then why don’t you try to create peace and harmony in the family?” Answering this, Rajveer said, “Baba Ji! Everyone is the master of his own mind. My brother is jealous of me. My wife only thinks about her maternal home. Everyone wants to show off to others. No one thinks about the peace of the house. There can never be peace in the family.”
Guru Ji showed the mirror
Showing the mirror, Baba Ji said in sharp words, “You said that your family is the reason for unrest for you. But, you cannot leave it. You say that no one thinks about the peace of the family and you yourself are speaking ill of your brother and wife. You say that everyone else just wants to show off to others. But you cannot leave your family because of what people will say? Is it not to show off to others? The reason for a person to stay with his family should be only his love for the family and his commitment to work. But this is not your reason. You have the answers to all your questions. Then what do you want from me?”
Pretense makes a person blind
Even after listening to Baba's harsh words, Rajveer, full of impudence, said, “I just want peace Guruji! I have everything else. Guruji laughed at his foolishness and said, “Okay! When you get peace, then tell me how you got peace without leaving unrest?” Rajveer is the embodiment of today's people. We all know the reason for our unrest. But we do not want to leave it. We all pretend to yearn for peace. But no one wants to follow his path. Show-off has increased so much in the world that today people even display their sorrows and problems. People only want to show off that they have so many sorrows and problems. But, no one wants to listen to the solution or tell it or walk on the path of the solution.
