O My Mother

O my mother, in your arms I lay,

When dawn would break and night would sway.

Your gentle touch, a soothing balm,

Calmed the storms, restored the calm.

The world, a maze of bright and dark,

You were the flame, the guiding spark.

From the first breath I took in life,

Your love enveloped me, free from strife.

Through every trial, you stood so strong,

Your voice, the melody of a song.

The sweetness in your every word,

A tender whisper, softly heard.

O my mother, you are the earth,

The ground where I was born, my birth.

The roots that grew and kept me tall,

Through every rise and every fall.

With hands so warm and heart so pure,

You held me close, my soul secure.

Through every storm, your courage soared,

In every challenge, you restored

The strength that seemed to fade away,

And turned the night into the day.

You held me through the darkest fears,

And wiped away my secret tears.

Your eyes, like windows, deep and wise,

Reflect the wisdom of the skies.

In every glance, a tale is told,

Of love and care, of heart and soul.

A thousand stories you could share,

Of sacrifices, love, and prayer.

O my mother, with hands so kind,

You healed my body, soothed my mind.

In every ache, in every pain,

You wiped the tears and helped me gain

The strength to rise, to chase my dreams,

To reach beyond the world's extremes.

Through childhood days, so soft and sweet,

You made my world feel complete.

With lullabies, you kissed me goodnight,

And held me close until the light

Of morning sun would warm the skies,

And greet me with your loving eyes.

As I grew older, time did fly,

The years would pass, yet still, you’d try

To teach me lessons, deep and true,

Of love, of kindness, and of you.

Your wisdom shaped the person I’ve become,

A reflection of the love you’ve sung.

O my mother, the woman of grace,

Your heart shines brightly in this place.

With every laugh, with every tear,

You’ve been my strength, my ever near.

Your voice still echoes in my soul,

A melody that makes me whole.

In quiet moments, I see your face,

A portrait painted in gentle grace.

The lines of time, the marks of care,

Are badges worn, beyond compare.

You are the queen of all my days,

A star that lights the darkest maze.

Though life may carry me afar,

Though distance stretches wide and far,

In every step, you walk with me,

In every thought, you’re all I see.

For though the world may change its hue,

O my mother, I’m always you.

The love you gave, the love you’ve shown,

Has shaped me into all I’ve known.

Your wisdom, like the river’s flow,

Has carved my heart with love aglow.

O my mother, in you I find

The strength, the courage, and the mind.

O my mother, let me now say,

How grateful I am, each and every day,

For all you've given, all you've done,

For being the moon, the stars, the sun.

Your love is boundless, pure, and true,

O my mother, I belong to you.

And when my time on earth is done,

When I’ve traveled life, and journeyed on,

I know your love will still remain,

A part of me, an endless chain.

For in my heart, you’ll always stay,

O my mother, come what may.

So here, my heart speaks this to you,

A truth that's simple, pure, and true:

O my mother, you are my light,

My heart, my soul, my guiding sight.

With every breath, with every rhyme,

Your love will echo through all time.
