Nuwa Patching the Sky

In ancient Chinese mythology, there was a catastrophic event that threatened the existence of humanity. The sky suddenly cracked, and the earth split open. Floods raged, and fires burned uncontrollably, bringing great suffering to people.
The culprit behind this disaster was Gonggong, the God of Water. After a fierce battle with Zhu Rong, the God of Fire, Gonggong lost and, in a fit of rage, crashed into Mount Buzhou, one of the pillars supporting the sky. This caused the sky to tilt to the northwest and the earth to sink in the southeast, leading to the chaos that ensued.

In the face of this crisis, Nuwa, a powerful and benevolent goddess, decided to save the world. She first collected five - colored stones from all over the land. Then, she built a huge furnace and, with her divine power, melted these stones into a thick liquid. Using this magical liquid, Nuwa carefully patched up the holes in the sky.
To ensure the stability of the sky, Nuwa also cut off the four legs of a giant turtle and used them as new pillars to support the sky. She then killed a black dragon that was causing trouble and used the ashes of reeds to block the floods.
After her arduous efforts, Nuwa finally restored peace to the world. The sky was repaired, the floods receded, and people could live in peace again. Nuwa's heroic deeds have been passed down through generations, embodying the Chinese people's spirit of perseverance and the pursuit of a harmonious world.
