Males can produce a child. This is the advanced technology that human has reach right now. It is still early but they will change the course of the world by using science.
Scientist from China has already done it. They makes another history in biotechnology. Two rats can produce a child. They have been using a method cell stem, manipulate epigenetic and embryo androgenetic technology. All of this has been merges to create a zygote from two father. Hundreds of embryo has been created but only two survive. This rat live and grow normally.
The process are complex. First, the scientists take skin cell from male rat, turn it into stem cell and imprint original genetic erased. Then, the scientist injected the cell in special embryo after get rid of mother chromosomes.
Most challenging obstacles to make sure certain genetic "dies" or activate in a right way. These genes called imprinting genes and it is so important to decide which embryo will develop or fail at the very beginning. If this genetic is out of the control, embryo usually deformed or die. But in this study, a team have successfully done it. They have already 'reprogram' genetic embryo to allow have healthy fetus. This is something science are not achieve yet.
The rat in the normal state, healthy and no physical deform. This mean combination between male rat can be used genetic substitute from the mother rat. The succesful rate really low but this is the prove genetic modifications are real.
The real questions. Will this kind of process to the human? The answer is not yet. Today technology still have a lot of work to do because humans are much more complex than a rat. Many challenge in the real world such as ethic, technical and laws. If humans can 'program' back life from cell stem, it might open up a new way to heal genetic disease, create a new organ, or fix reproductive system damage.
