How To Die Healthy
Well, it is now two and a half months since I started to try to lose weight. My problem was I had too much visceral fat which was not leaving enough space for my lungs to fully expand. For that reason, I was getting easily out of breath and suffered from sleep apnea. Not good.

Mourning the Mother I Never Knew. Second Place in Chapters Challenge.
I sometimes wake up feeling that my mother has visited me in the night. I have memories of a shrouded figure just standing quietly and watching me sleep, or a pair of kind eyes appearing out of the darkness. I don’t know if it’s true or even possible; I’m not a religious person, so there is no built in belief of such things. Perhaps it’s just me wishing I had another chance to spend time with her, to laugh with her, tell her that I love her. Maybe I need to apologize to her. Maybe I need to tell her that I forgive her.

The Long and Winding Road
A chapter from my memoir. It was December 1975, a few days before Christmas, when the boss told us all to go to the 'Fill ya Boots' pub at lunchtime. ~Grandma's Time!~
~Grandma's Time!~ I sat on the floor at the end of the bed throughout the nights, of the beginning of the end! I sat on the floor by her side as the good servant girl, (and grand-daughter) called forth by God was asked to do! And I watched in silence as her soul battled the sins of the world within her. Whether to fight to live a little longer or not? The weight of the sins of the world (the one she had lived through and all that she had seen) were upon her shoulders, and this I could see. For to many years she did to much for others by all that had been pressed upon her in that life... and well it just could not be made undone! But as sure as I write these words if there could have been a way that I could have changed things for her, make her life a better, easier, happier, less tragic, worrisome and stressful one I certainly would have gladly done it!

James the Wonderer
Chapter One- A bishop and a jump “Your bishop’s in trouble boy. Aren’t you going to save it?” James March tried to brush the comment aside and concentrate on his next move, but it lodged itself neatly into his mind, settling alongside the recent revelation that was already burning any fibres of focus he had left.
