“Serve others as a silent voice”. All the different nuances of this, so far, so close. On suffering, on what is and has been this eternal seek-ness (yes, sickness) of my being. “Wait, stay here, do not look up, just with you here, in deep silence.” I’m right now in a state of total float-ness, feather-ness (As light as a feather.) Note: I wrote this opening chapter as part of a challenge with a separate online page. I wondered if I would win by entering into the mind of a drill sergeant dealing with new recruits and introducing them to their weapon. The language is very rough, as it has always been with military training. It is necessary for the mentality that the average soldier will need for facing combat and the possibility of death.

Once Sonica was all hooked-up to the ship’s own life-support apparatus, Joe stopped by the medical bay himself and changed the dressings that had come out of the first-aid box in his kitchen for new ones from the supplies. Concerns about certain girls accidentally showing more of themselves than anybody needed to see hadn’t made him forget that without this precaution he’d end up doing the same, in a far less picturesque manner and all over the floor to boot. That danger averted, and cargo and crew securely onboard, our hero shuffled slowly to the bridge.
