Jasson Dominguez Belts Three Homers as Yankees Roll Past A's

OAKLAND, CA — Jasson Dominguez delivered a performance for the ages on Friday night, smashing three home runs and driving in six runs to lead the New York Yankees to a dominant 10–3 victory over the Oakland Athletics at the Coliseum.

The 21-year-old phenom, dubbed “The Martian” for his out-of-this-world talent, gave Yankees fans another glimpse of his superstar potential. Dominguez launched a two-run homer in the top of the first inning, followed by a solo shot in the fourth, and capped off the night with a towering three-run blast in the seventh.

"He's electric," Yankees manager Aaron Boone said postgame. "Every time he steps into the box, you feel like something special might happen — and tonight, it did."

The performance marked Dominguez’s first career multi-homer game — and he didn’t stop at two. His final blast, a 440-foot rocket to dead center, silenced the Oakland crowd and put the game out of reach.

Dominguez finished the night 3-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored, boosting his season average to .307 with 8 home runs in just 19 games since being called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

While Dominguez stole the spotlight, he wasn’t alone in fueling the Yankees’ offense. Aaron Judge added a pair of doubles, and Anthony Volpe went 2-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base. Yankees starter Carlos Rodón gave the team six strong innings, allowing just two earned runs on five hits while striking out seven to earn his fourth win of the season.

The A’s, meanwhile, struggled to keep pace. Starter Paul Blackburn was tagged for seven runs over 5.1 innings, including all three of Dominguez’s homers. JJ Bleday provided a silver lining with a solo homer in the sixth, but it wasn’t nearly enough to stop the Yankees’ offensive onslaught.

With the win, New York improved to 25–17 on the season, inching closer to the top spot in the AL East. The Yankees will look to build on the momentum as the series continues Saturday night with Clarke Schmidt set to take the mound.

As for Dominguez, his performance already has the Bronx buzzing — and if Friday night was any indication, baseball’s next superstar has truly landed.
