In its entirety, the vast amount of information provided reflects Netflix's remarkable capacity to captivate its extensive subscriber base (nearly 239 million as of the data dump's end). However, it may not necessarily indicate much beyond that. The statistics presented pertain to the total hours viewed, which serves as Netflix's measure of engagement across its content library.

Nevertheless, it does not align with the metric the streaming platform employs to rank its weekly top shows.

The company utilizes the "view" formula to create 10 lists, which calculates the total watch time divided by the running time. This approach helps to create a fair comparison between films and series with shorter durations. Additionally, the company takes into account economic factors and other metrics that influence decision-making, which are kept confidential.(which only consider the first 13 weeks of release). Although Season four of

Stranger Things had a longer viewing time during that period, Wednesday's total duration was over six hours shorter, resulting in it being ranked first in terms of views.Upon careful examination of the extensive spreadsheet, several noteworthy observations emerge.

We have a highly diverse top 25 list. Dr. Ana-Christina Ramón, the director of UCLA's Entertainment & Media Research Initiative, who releases an annual Hollywood diversity report, highlighted that six out of the top 25 titles (Wednesday, La Reina del Sur season three, FUBAR, Manifest season four, The Mother, and Fake Profile/Perfil Falso) feature Latinx actors in lead or co-lead roles. Additionally, there are nine other entries in the top 25, including Ginny.Georgia appears twice in the lineup, representing each of its two seasons. Moreover, the inclusion of individuals from diverse backgrounds in prominent or supporting roles is noteworthy. Consequently, a significant 60 percent of the top 25 titles on the streaming platform, spanning from January to June, showcase talents from the global majority.

Furthermore, out of the top 25 shows, six of them, namely La Reina Del Sur, Fake Profile, The Glory (a Korean series), Physical: 100, Crash Course in Romance, and Doctor Cha, are presented in languages other than English. It is worth noting that dubbed versions of these shows are also available.Unfortunately, Sex/Life, the highly popular show, faced a disappointing fate as it was canceled. Despite its immense success, with 175.5 million hours of viewing for season two and 126.4 million for season one, the show failed to continue. Season two, which premiered in early March, experienced a decline of 45 percent in viewing time during its first four weeks compared to season one, although it had two fewer episodes. This is the reason why Wednesday holds the fourth position on the list of 18,000 titles released on Tuesday, but secures the top spot in Netflix's all-time rankings for English-language series (which only consider the first 13 weeks of release).
