In That Little Corner

It was 6.17 PM when I walked out from the office.

Kinda a busy Monday as usual so it took me some time to finish my work.

I walk and stare at the people passing me by, wondering if they have the same routine as I do.

Today's mark the 3rd year I worked in California, quite far away from my home and I really missed it. I wanted to come home for a bit, but the hesitant always there when I want to go back. Maybe it's a story for another time.

I'm hungry and feeling like to have a dinner but can't think of one.

I passed a little pizzeria and I stopped for a bit.

Looking back at that little shop and I thought, "Ah, let me treat myself a slice or two pizza for tonight."

As I enter, a nice warm welcome heard from the back of the cashier. Comforting. It was a nice atmospheres to fix my tired busy Monday.

I sat down and not long a waiter came to me and offer me the menu.

"Hello there, how are you? My name is Kamal and I will be serving you today. Here's the menu we offer at our place. Please take a look and call me when you're ready." He handed me the menu with a smile.

I said, " Thank you. Today is quite tiring for me and I think a fresh hot pizza will be quite a treat for me. I'll call you when I'm ready."

I dozed off for a minute looking at the menu. There's so much in my mind at the moment, I don't even know if I'm looking at the menu or just blank staring at it.

I don't remember seeing this pizzeria for almost 3 years working in here, but whatever. I read the menu from the top.

Pizza Twist.

It's the name of the pizzeria.

And then as usual my mind got me thinking what kind of twist they created for a pizza? This is usually the way my mind works, too free, too much imagination, too crowded with thoughts.

Washing down my thought, I looked at the menu again. What should I order now? Pizza? Breadsticks? Pasta? So much they offers.

Confused. I don't know what I wanted to order.

"I should go with the non-traditional menu" I think to myself. Since they offer the Indian fusion menu, so I think i want to go out from my comfort menu zone.

I looked and waved to Kamal as he seems to pay attention to me. Waiting when will I call him.

"So, may I take your order sir?" He asked me nicely.

"I think I'll go with Chicken Tikka Masala and a Coke", I reply him.

"Nice choice, sir. I'll get your order ASAP". He write down the order and then leaving me.
