Ditched - All Chapters

All part in one place, for your convenience

Serena, ditched and recovered on the side of GA-441

I finished and published this long story or short novella of 6,000 words recently. I tried to link all previous parts of the story in the next one, so if you went along you shouldn't have been lost. This index is just to put everything in one place.

I also hope that it will help me get more reads and will catch some readers up on all chapters. I have noticed that the number of reads sharply dropped after the third chapter, and I hate to think that those readers lost their place in my largely disorganized published stories world. For full disclosure, this is the number of reads on all parts as of October 28, 2025:

1. Ditched - 24

2. Ditched for True Love - 24

3. Ditched for ER - 26

4. Ditched and Cleaned - 12

5. Ditched and Re-Placed - 14

6. Ditched and Re-Boxed - 6

7. Ditched and Sent Off - 11

Some readers could have been lost because I've done something different with the titles here. Usually, if I wrote a long story or novella, I would just number the parts, like in Coffin Money - 1, all the way through to Coffin Money - 8.

With the Ditched series, instead of numbering the chapters I ended up adding the gist of what is happening in the installment to the title. I was quite pleased with myself for creatively breaking my own formula. Anyway, here are all the stories from the Ditched series, starting with the first one:

Part 1, where the accidental discovery is made on the side of the road and we get introduced to one of the two main characters, Brad.

Part 2, where we get Brad's background story and get introduced to his wife Emily, the second main character in the story.

Part 3, where a romantic evening goes wrong. I wrote this part for the Filthy community and you be the judge of how well it came out.

Part 4, where we get a glimpse of Emily's involvement. Serena returns.

Part 5, where Brad's trying to figure out what's going on and still keep it a secret from Emily.

Part 6, "Brad's Nightmare" says it all. I saw this as an opportunity to write something for the Horror Community.

Part 7, where Brad and Emily finally talk it out. I should have probably broken it down into two parts as it came up to over 1,000 words, but why milk it, right?

After I finished the novella, I had an idea of reworking it for a publication. Here I am soliciting your critique: Did you think that I disclosed Emily's involvement too early? I am thinking now that had I not done that the horror chapter could have come out a lot scarier and the romance chapter could have been a little sexier as well. I also could have kept the tension of not knowing who was fixing Serena to the very end of the novella.

Also, if you notice any holes or inconsistencies in the story, I would greatly appreciate your pointing them out.

Thank you for reading, as always.

Oh my, the reads dropped by half! I hope this helps increase it. As for your question, I guess it depends on what your goals are. If it is to increase the suspense and horror element, then yes, the revelation could have come at the end. If not, then I feel it's perfect!

I think putting the chapters in one place help readers find the sequence. Wow, 6000 words , great job! Do not take it personal if you do not get reads. People get busy with their own story writing. I will save this on my Facebook. And try to read your chapter stories first thing in the morning. 🥰
