Winter displayed its whiteness. Snow covered the surfaces below. Loreen peered out her window with a cup of coffee. She swallowed the acidic liquid in her study.

“Looks like a virtual kind of day,” she uttered aloud, a smirk curling her lips.

On her desktop, she prepared business plans for her clients. What stood in between her and getting these plans to the right people consisted of the complex system of addresses. She fought it.

When she could get the chance, she made sure that every plan outlined the intentions of the people who had drafted them.

The screen illuminated and the letters and numbers danced. Her rapid-fire typing permitted her the ability to write with ease.

The snow fell so gently, cleanly. She waited for the opportune moment to ensure the directness and truth of every document.

While she looked at the pages on the monitor, an aching sense that many of the businesses would fail remained. There existed a chance that over half of them would go to the wayside.

Loreen, nevertheless, processed all of them, with the fever dream in waking life that they would all succeed. It took her every ounce of strength to be an AI agent and go through everyone. But she was human. A stern visage swept over her. She called this serious business.

Because the snow had blanketed her exterior to the house, she could keep the lights low and let the natural reflection shine through the windows. As she typed and typed, reviewed and made notes on the plans, a sense of wonder crept into her soul with a bit of dread. She had met with some of these entrepreneurs face-to-face.

Though she looked forward to seeing them lift aloft, she knew many would fall like fresh snow. But that’s business.
