Businesswoman Chapter 74
Mr. Breen takes a call.

Heschel Breen worked on one of his classic cars. The muscular frame and the amalgamation of wires, tubes, slabs of metal, and shining chrome painted a portrait of rarity. He had been working on this particular gem all weekend. When he didn’t furnish vintage vehicles, he had been a CEO of a chain of groceries stretching down the North Atlantic Coast. He talked to his friend as he used his earpiece. His friend was two hundred miles away.
“I see that Mrs. has been doing excellent work for the business community,” Fred Dorch mentioned. He owned a nationwide furniture business.
“Yes, she’s asleep right now. She could get a call any moment, even if it is a Sunday,” Breen replied.
“Well you seem to be the one wearing the skirt in all of this!”
“What’d you say? Skirt? Listen, Don’t ever in your life form your lips to say something as disrespectful as that. Know that.”
“Hey, hey. I was just ribbing you, man,” Dorch stated.
“My wife is still the one who worships me because I earned it. I deserve to be her priority because I put time into our relationship.”
“Okay, okay. I understand. She’s such a heroine. You’re a hero in your own way.”
“Here comes the cleanup crew….” Breen intoned.
“Look, man, all I’m saying is that you should be out solving business problems, too. Right alongside her as her partner. You should be her partner, man.”
“I’m already her partner.”
“I mean in fighting for free markets. I mean going out on missions as well and being part of the action.”
“Dorch, you may have more dollars than I, but I have more sense,” Breen fired back.
“That is true. I have more money than you and that’s all that matters,” Dorch replied.
“You’re wrong.”
