Businesswoman Chapter 310
Loreen has a selfish, noble idea.
With the opportunity to maximize opportunities, Loreen leapt at the chance to revolutionize her company. The homeless situation in Delaware intrigued her, drove her.
She always wondered about the journalists who profiled the homeless. Why didn’t they give up all their residuals to their books and salaries at news stations? If they were so selfless and sacrificial, why didn't they show their altruism by giving all proceeds to the individuals they covered?
Her own selfishness prompted her to create an online tv and film studio directed at homeless people. They would show their lives and how they live in a reality show. They would be able to earn money.
She thought about the idea that this would be poverty porn but thought again. She would be compensating these folks and helping those not in need but willing to work.
With the ability to bring about a seachange with the idea of people on street corners, in tents, under bridges, on highways, and extended-stay hotels, Loreen knew that this could be a wellspring of how residentially challenged individuals would be viewed.
They would not be seen as helpless, shiftless people looking for hand outs. They would be looked at as enterprising and industrious.
Loreen grabbed a pen and pad and started sketching ideas and making plans to launch the site. In her mind she considered Lisa’s site. She knew there would have to be a robust system like Lisa possessed now.
The consideration of hackers brought about all of this. Her pen passed the margins. Her furious scribblings brought about inspiration in her mind. Every syllable conveyed the idea of what the site would focus on which would be content covering the houseless.
In all of her endeavors she felt like this would be most selfish and proper because of rights.
