“I know you’re all embarrassed. I can only say this happened in br as daylight under the eyes of armed guards. Now, you’re probably wondering, ‘what does this have to do with business?’ It has everything to do with it,” Loreen explained.

The faces looked blank like fresh canvases. The bodies appeared as rubber as everyone sort of slumped in their chairs as Loreen spoke.

“If you want your Sapphire Hen back, then you’re going to have to fight. This isn’t a messy battle in the streets. No, it’s a war against those who wish to steal and destroy.”

An intrepid soul raised her hand.

“Businesswoman…I’m a curator here at the museum. I just don’t know what to do if this item is not recovered. It was our main draw.”

“Yes, it has a legacy that speaks for itself. The power and awe that the Hen drew to the eyes of the viewer. For it to have been nabbed by brutes is a reflection of our turbulent times. We, yet, must never give up the challenge to our rights and freedoms. And artwork. Thank you.”

Loreen was not met with applause but that sound of clapping and hoots resonated in the minds of the listeners to her speech. She continued to push forward her agenda despite the gloomy circumstances. She wanted that sparkling artwork back to its original perch, too. It remained one of the best ways to see Delaware.

She traveled in her Goulding, now operated by a computer system. Raphael’s services were no longer necessary. He received a seven figure bonus for his efforts. Once she arrived at her home, Loreen felt the weight of the world dissolve around her. The lights and temperature adjusted to her preset modifications. A glass of red wine permitted her to relax.
