Two of the Collectivists, Fascinder and Socialista returned to the epicenter of the riot. Common Man stood before the three business leaders and Individualists.
“What we’re doing here is right. It may not seem that way now, but history will forever record all of our actions and show they were righteous,” Common Man announced.
“But your name is synonymous with bloodshed. Hundreds of millions of people have died under the banner of Communism. There will be scores more dead if you continue to go down this path of irrationalism,” Lisa retorted.
“Aargh! Communism has saved lives. It has made it possible for people to be joined together under the umbrella of brotherhood. Nothing is mine and nothing is yours. Everything belongs to everyone.”
“Yes,” Entrepreneur Paul replied. “That is until there isn’t enough rice to dole out to people and envy and resentment creep into the bones of the populace. There’s only so much that people can take before they are crushed under not an umbrella, but a fist smashing them under the weight of the collective.”
Common Man looked at Loreen. “We’re sort of the leaders of our disparate factions. What have you got to say?”
“I have nothing to say to you, Sheski.” She turned to her compatriots.
“We will, however, lift up the banner of capitalism in the face of injustice and ugliness. We will always be on the vanguard for pushing peace and prosperity. Now, we will vacate this place and allow law enforcement to do its job.”
Common Man or Vladimir Sheski looked down and up again. “It seems like a roll of dynamite packed in a little case with you, Loreen.”
She didn’t bat an eye. All she did consisted of turning around and leading Entrepreneur Paul and Lisa back to their respective vehicles.
