Businesswoman Chapter 271
Entrepreneur Paul heads to Lower Slower Delaware.
As the clouds parted and the sun shone on the city of Wilmington, the Delawareans continued their business. Entrepreneur Paul looked at the analog clock on the wall and raised from his seat.
He had a smile on his face. He hopped on his motorcycle. He strapped on his helmet. He heard the purr of the engine. By weaving through traffic, Atkinson felt the rush.
In his mind, he held no conversations of discord. It didn’t stop him from talking to himself.
“We’ve got this. The businesses are everything. Work is everything. We’re going to make it. Hell, we’ve already made it. But this is for the future. There’s no ceasing. We’re blessing ourselves.” He turned sharply and kept within the speed limit.
He rode from Wilmington to Bethany Beach. His abilities on the motorcycle permitted him to think and speak aloud despite the now roaring engine and the traffic noise.
“We are one with the dollar. We have taken over the world within us. We are responsible for our own fate. No deity lets us know what we are to be. We have built from nothing.” He drove to the gated community, his electronic tab signalling to open the gate.
“We are our own sovereign being. We are the truth and we are not better but the best,” He parked and unstrapped his helmet and continued into the house. It didn’t stop his soliloquy.
“We haven’t made it to the level where we’re supposed to be. That rocket project is going to launch us even more. But there’s no end goal.”
He looked at himself in the mirror and straightened. He shed his jacket and removed his boots. With slippers on his feet he walked to the center of the room and temperature adjusted, the 48K television screen descended.
