Signs hung around the room. “Don’t Eat the Rich, Kill them All!” had been scrawled in pug’s blood against stark white posters. The drips from the blood oozed down the blank space. Socialista made a call.

“Soc, what’s up?” Common Man asked.

“Hey we need more funding if we’re going to demonstrate on this particular roadway.”

“It is your right to do it and it’s the right thing to do. I’m just strapped for cash. See if Fasc has the funds for this one.”

“You don’t have another thirty thousand?”

“That’s for the march in Wilmington. Your Newark march on Main Street will not have as big an impact.”

“Wait, aren’t you technically rich?”

“Aren’t we all?”

“That’s selfish, Com,” Socialista accused.

“It’s not selfishness. It’s a measured altruism. Once we have sacrificed too much, we must find a happy medium where we can get more money.”

“I hear you talking,” Socialista intoned.

“If you want the money, just start signing t-shirts with the phrase on it. Make use of your time. I can’t hold your hand. We’re all in this together. The wealth has to spread around and be taken to new levels.”

“So you’re not going to give up your cash?”

“I’m not. It’s for the needy and the hungry and indigent. We cannot focus on ourselves. We have to keep up with selflessness and unselfishness as the highest virtues in the land.”

“You’re like Jesus?”

“No. I don’t believe in religion.”

“So you support atoms?”

“In a way, yes. That’s my religion. Just matter. There is no soul. No spirit. We are programmed by our internal clocks to only give of ourselves.”

“You’re not giving me the money….” Socialista noted.

“That would be selfish on my part, too individualistic. You’re someone I value. That’s way too self-interested.”

🌹When I was, hungry they gave me food. When I ask the ultra wealthy they spit in my face. Seriously they classify people poor as indigent and no body. Have to say because I am humanitarian. Good story 🌹
