Businesswoman: Chapter 235
Fire and Smoke
Loreen Breen didn’t pray for increase. She just did it. Everything she thought about she watched transform into reality. By pouring a cup of coffee, she made it possible for her to get a boost.
When she sat at her desk, she kept a photo of the note she found in her house. For all its cryptic nature, she seriously wanted to crack it and settle the matter. She wanted to bring to justice this violator in her home.
The idea of her becoming a sleuth entered her mind. At the current rate, she had become an amateur detective and scoped out as many suspects and clues as she could. All of this happened as she ran and aided other businesses.
In fact, she had been tasked to lend her assistance to Wilmington match maker company. This wasn’t a cutting edge social media dating site but an actual company dedicated to producing matches. Mastiff Matches had been around for a hundred and twenty years and had been losing money due to vaping and people quitting smoking altogether.
As she visited the site she turned around to the CEO.
“This company must be liquidated and sold off into tiny chunks,” Loreen commanded.
“But we’ve been able to keep this company in the family for over a century,” pouted CEO Colin Mastiff.
“If you want to see a profit and recover from the changing times, it’s time to relinquish your hold and sell off this thing,” Loreen instructed.
Mastiff’s lower lip quivered. Then he straightened. “I appreciate you, Businesswoman, but I think you’re wrong. What you’ve shown me is that we should take our Delaware company and ship it off to Pennsylvania and New Jersey.”
Loreen snatched a match book and lit a match. After igniting it, she blew out the fire.
