Looking out at the city beneath her, Loreen noticed the people walking. She stood in her office in Wilmington. The Delaware city showed supreme activity. They looked like purpose made real. Every step from those below appeared to be like a stream of productiveness. She returned to her work.
On her desk, she included her digital portfolio.
Every business that she invested in made her brighten even more. Though she noticed some red bleeding bars showing losses, she counted them as challenges and opportunities.
She made certain whether she would be able to rectify the downward trends. This drove her. The very nature of these situations enlivened her soul and fueled her capacity to go forth with confidence. A face appeared on her video chat.
“Lisa! Come in! Come in!”
Businessgirl walked into the office.
“I’m glad you’re here. What’s up?” Loreen asked.
“I keep striking out.”
Loreen knew what she talked about.
“You have to be worthy. I know you are, but single men must know that you’re an asset, not a liability.”
“I go online. I’ve got photos and pictures. I’ve even got a video of Hillia Starker introducing me.” Hillia Starker acted, produced, wrote, and directed plays and movies and had been a major star from Delaware.
“I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I know I have to be an asset but I think that people should know more about me. I’m Businessgirl.”
“Yes, you are. You didn’t even need Mrs. Starker. She was just a boost, a supplement. You’re the main ingredient. All you have to do is show these men that you’re even more than your moniker.”
Lisa took in these words. She allowed them to stir in her spirit. Neurons fired in her brain as Loreen extolled wisdom.
“Thanks,” Lisa whispered with sincerity.
