Lisa paced around Loreen’s spacious living room. Atkinson stood by the window.

“This will mean so much. With regulations falling like chains to the ground, this will be an opportunity for us all to explore our ways of conducting business,” Loreen announced.

“I’m for it,” Atkinson replied. “I just need to make sure this is a great part of my portfolio.”

“It will be, Paul,” Loreen reassured. “The private sector of space travel is getting cheaper and safer every day. There’s nothing to worry about when it comes to understanding that it’s going to be a futuristic endeavor to embark on this quest.”

Lisa turned around and spoke directly to Loreen.

“How much to invest?” she queried.

“One hundred million.”

Lisa calculated in her head just how much computer work and company doctoring she would have to engage in to secure those funds.

“Hell, I’ll knock off half. Make fifty million for both of you.” She clicked her nails together in a rhythmic way and stood with a soft but serious grin.

“I like the idea, but I’m out,” Paul announced.

“What’s the problem Mr. Entrepreneur Paul Atkinson?” Loreen asked.

“I love the idea and can definitely afford it but I know very little about the space program. I could study up but that would be some fast and furious studying.”

With the knowledge she could sway him back onto the side of completing the investment, she knew how to cajole.

“Your largest investment is currently an AI company, right?”

“That’s right.”

“Well this is writ large. The rockets will include artificial intelligence and be programmed to fit none other than the very company you supply dollars to right now,” Loreen spoke with cogent boldness.
