Preparation for speeches gave Loreen time to think. She understood the role it played in her psyche. The order, the timing, the way she could earn three hundred million dollars for just delivering a message. When she had laid down the first draft of the speech, she journeyed to the firing range on her property and left off a few rounds.
First, she used the semi-automitic rifle from five hundred yards away. She had a tight group, but shot off to the shoulder. After making adjustments, Loreen aimed and squeezed and fired only head shots. Satisfied with her results, she took the paper and autographed it.
Loreen got cleaned up and returned to her desk. Those moments out on the range soothed her somehow. The release of tension became therapeutic over time and activated her mind. She finished another draft and then flew to her classic car collection. By herself, she changed oil, rotated the tires, and added fluids to six of her vehicles. This took some time of course, but she didn’t mind it. Never did she worry about the time when she could easily be just relaxing poolside with nothing on her schedule. In fact, immediately following her care for her cars, she donned a bikini and swam in her heated pool.
Everything seemed fine until she got the call.
“Hey, Lisa,” Loreen replied, still drying off following a shower.
“I’m not ready for this. It’s the most amount of money I’ve ever seen!”
“Relax, relax. I’m sure that you’re a bit skittish about the amount but don’t be. You’ve earned this.”
“I hear you talking, Loreen. But I just feel as if I’m going to ruin this moment for the both of us.”
“Nonsense. You handled the last talk, and now you’re snapping properties. Don’t you worry.”

This story's got some interesting details. I can relate to finding focus through activities like shooting or working on cars. Handling big money and high-pressure gigs can be nerve-wracking, but it sounds like Loreen's got it in hand.
