Businesswoman Chapter 156

Media

By Skyler SaundersPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

It became a thing. Loreen had become a towering figure in the Delaware community. In so doing, she had been able to receive adulation and praise from everyone except the Collectivists. Still, she had somehow shown herself to be a problem in the media.

Editorials lambasted her confidence and her bravura. In particular, Arthur Meadowton wrote for the Daily Delaware. He attacked her abilities while slyly and with passive aggression praised her abilities. The best way to show his disdain for her was to congratulate her:

“The little Miss Loreen Breen has within her pinky finger enough energy and aplomb to run her businesses and help others in the same token. Why has she not submitted her dynamism to the mentally retarded and those without seven and eight figure deals? She has the power to look out for different flaws in companies. Why can’t she just look forward to being a force for benefiting those less fortunate? Mrs. Breen is a fixture in our state. She makes it possible for people to aspire to be more.”

“What she fails to do is show her greatness for goodness. She never visits the soup kitchens or applies her time to the different schools she graduated from in the past; she hardly ever delivers speeches for free; Mrs. Breen never gets to the inner city of Wilmington. All she knows is downtown and brunch at Mercier Hotel.”

“It’s not too late for her. She might be able to keep the masses in awe. But why aren’t we displaying an industrialist (and I’m not even going to call her selfish because she’d take that as a compliment) that has her mind right but her heart is way out of whack? Why must we continue to support her?”

Loreen read this and laughed quite heartily.

Thanks for the comment, Lawana. You agree truly with Meadowton. I’m just glad you’re reading and sharing. Thanks, again. —S.S.

  • Oh Loreen, let's go visit the soup kitchen and hangout with the beneath crowd of reality. Your story is good and explores the laughter of your main character regarding the poor. Totally fits in with a an industrial Capitalist personality. 🌹🌹🌹🌹
