Paul Atkinson looked at his digital bar graphs. The figures looked like fingers stretching to the top of the screen. With his finger, he tapped on each one of them. This produced a series of numbers and dollar amounts. A smile curled around his face. He walked the premises of his short-term housing unit.

“Come back to bed,” A petite ice queen beckoned for her lover.

“Business over bed sheets, sweetheart,” he replied. The young woman, an actress from Kent County, rolled over and sulked. Atkinson continued on his mission to make even more money.

By sending out his information to prospective clients, he made a registry of all the possible serious business contacts. He had done this dozens of times already. This excursion fared no differently. He ran into a snag, though. He had hired a contractor to build a facility for his hard drives but they reneged on the deal.

This burned in his soul. It felt like someone suckerpunched him in the gut. He brushed it off and continued. Another snag. This time, it was a woman he had not at all been romantically linked to, but she seemed to think so. In time she would call the cops on him to have him arrested. He wore the cold steel bracelets of justice, but she dropped the charges.

At last, he shrugged off that sore spot and counted up his total contacts. They listed over one thousand. Thanks to the computing power of his mobile device, he didn’t have to calculate by hand. He looked at those bar graphs again. His curiosity piqued when a message emblazoned on his screen. It was Lisa. He read the message and spoke to Natalia. He kissed her alabaster face.

“I’m going to be going out soon. You know most codes.”
