Businesswoman Chapter 10

Spring finally sprung. The lushness of the greenery beckoned the mind to be as productive as ever. Loreena knew this. She possessed a slew of speaking engagements during this time, since the weather seemed agreeable. Her first talk consisted of a group of businesspeople who sought to get a sense of their clientele. They wanted to know, in particular, the advantages of being an atheist and an entrepreneur. Loreen collected three million dollars per engagement. She smiled at the thought she spoke, ironically, in church basements for “love offerings” of ten to fifty dollars which accumulated to be around two hundred dollars.

She looked out at the audience and delivered the speech which connected non-belief in a deity or deities and commerce. Once she finished, one of the attendees stopped her to sign one of her books.

“Miss Loreen…Breen?”

“I am Businesswoman.” Her face looked as straight as a hedge of grass.

“Yes, Businesswoman. I wanted to know as a believer in God how I can also satisfy my atheist clients?” A pert woman who specialized in providing skin care products and had become a billionaire asked for Loreen’s expertise.

“You don’t satisfy them. You satisfy yourself. You hold as your highest virtue your ability to create, make, produce, and build. Nevermind how to ‘satisfy’, what you want to do is trade. Most people are under the spell of mysticism. That drives their every move. Your goal is to seek and find people who, regardless of their faith, can help you achieve those ends.”

“Thank you, Businesswoman.”

“My pleasure. Find me online on my many social media sites. Let me know how everything turns out for you.”

“Thanks, again!”

A man with a slim build and a strong jaw approached Loreen.

“Businesswoman! Businesswoman! I’ve got to know your secret.”

“Nope!”
