In the modern digital world, creative writing is often measured by the number of views, reads, and comments, among other metrics, which can overlook the joy of writing. Most writers focused on publishing pieces on platforms like Vocals, hoping to reach readers and earn a little income. Yet, writing is something far more than money, as it is a sense of creativity, exploration, and unique thinking that cannot be monetized.

The origin of online writing platforms has completely altered the way of share our stories. The media platforms like vocals, Medium, and Substack have opened the opportunity to publish articles on diverse themes, enabling earn from them. These platforms have paved the way to publish for a wider community, celebrating creativity on a global scale.

Yet, these writing pieces have become more challenging and pressure as writers are often focusing on trending topics to reach number of readers, algorithm titles, and monitoring the engagement metrics. This has resulted in slowing down the art of writing into the performance of writing.

Writing is regarded as a space of conversation, stories, views, experiences, and emotions. When writing is more focused on dollars and rupees, it may lose the ability to express the great human feelings into words. Moreover, writing is a process of exploration on a particular theme that often begins with a small idea and ends with a deeper analysis of ideas, views, and experts. As writers, we can learn many things in between drafts and edits. Therefore, writing is a reflection of our own ideas, hopes, and feelings. Can we call writing a mirror? Of course it is.

A single piece of writing describes who we are and what we believe. Unlike monetary value, they can be considered as a craft and a reflection of our own voice. Some stories can make us laugh, cry, and feel curiosity. I saw some of the comments saying” your piece spoke to me,” which is worth more than money, isn’t it? What I can suggest to you, write your own piece, enjoy, and share. Reading other pieces of articles supports them in reading generously, as writing is not a race but a collective journey.

If you are a first-hand writer with no experience, and do not know how to start, begin with a simple idea you are passionate about, completely avoiding the pursuit of money. Keep writing, from a simple piece of writing to a deeper analysis, allowing readers to think, opening a discussion, and touching their feelings to make your words memorable. Monetization will come and go. But the desire to express your ideas and open them to a great opportunity is always rare. And make writing timeless.

As writers, we like to celebrate the victory: the feeling of writing that readers enjoy, which is a reward that no money, coins, or notes can replace. So write your own words because they might not earn, but they will matter; the unique stories that heal the wounds, touch the hearts, celebrate, and connect. Good Luck!
