A book that will always have a special place in my heart is Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. It’s one of the books I already miss from the moment I finish reading the last page, and it is way better than the TV series Netflix inspired by it.

The plot is simple but captivating. Set in a fantasy world called Grishaverse, in the crime-ridden city of Ketterdam, the story is about a group of six criminals hired by a rich man to rescue a scientist from an impregnable fortress where he is kept captive. They have to learn how to work together, in order to accomplish the mission, forming strong bonds with each other along the way.

The characters are what I loved the most about this novel. It is impossible not to fall in love with those six criminals.Throughout the book we are given a background for each of them, we see them learning to work together, to accept each other’s flaws and building relationships. Another amazing aspect is the world building, which is dark and charming, able to teleport you toanother universe. While reading this book, you have the possibility to embark on an adventure with the characters. I can assure you that, when you finish the last page, it will be hard to believe that these people were actually just words on paper. Who somehow became friends of yours.

I highly recommend this book to everyone who wants to live an incredible and unforgettable journey and make new friends without having to leave the couch. And don’t be scared by the size of the book… it’s worth every minute spent reading it.
