Why Return of the Blossoming Blade Is One of My Favorite Manhwas
Return of the blossoming blade

I’ve read a lot of manhwas, but Return of the Blossoming Blade stands out as one of my absolute favorites. It’s got everything I love—reincarnation, martial arts, a fallen sect trying to rise again, and a main character who’s as chaotic as he is powerful.
The story follows Chung Myung, one of the strongest swordsmen from the past, who died after helping defeat the Heavenly Demon—a legendary enemy threatening all of Kangho. A hundred years later, he reincarnates and returns to the Mount Hua Sect, only to find it in ruins. Once a powerful sect, it is now forgotten by the world and on the verge of collapse.
Instead of revealing his identity, Chung Myung, desperate to help mount hua regain it’s former glory, joins as a low-level disciple. From there, the story follows his mission to rebuild Mount Hua’s legacy and prepare for the return of the Heavenly Demon.
What I really love about this manhwa is the way it mixes humor, epic action, and real emotional moments. Chung Myung is smart, unpredictable, and surprisingly deep. Watching him teach his juniors, revive old techniques, and slowly bring respect back to Mount Hua is so satisfying.
If you enjoy martial arts manhwa with reincarnation, strong character growth, and a mix of comedy and seriousness, I 100% recommend this one.
