Three Little Pigs
Book Club Challenge
I memorized this children story book, The Three Little Pigs. I was very comforted to know that if I had a house of brick no one can tear it down. Growing up this story have a deeper meaning to me. The wolf symbolize the advisories of life. The three little pigs are the stages or level we are at with our life.
The first little pig remind me of my 1 st training stage in keeping my healthy boundaries. I was very weak in keeping my boundaries and my ex husband who was the big bad wolf, I even let him in but he still blow my house down like it was made of hay. I did not have a strong foundation on protecting myself.
I ran into my second foundation, by getting an order of protection from my abusive ex husband. This foundation was like the house of sticks. My exhusband made an excused he was not feeling well. I easily try to help people and I thought the big bad wolf change. I let him in but the wolf did not change. He blow my house of stick down.
The third pig was the final process of strengthening my foundation and boundaries. Each brick represents the process of making my house foundation stronger and not to ever let this wolf in. The more brinks I used to built the house the stronger I get and it’s like a stepping stone.
My exhusband keep knocking at my door making threats. The more I did not ever let him in. He would huff and puff but, I was no longer scared cause I finally built a strong foundation and boundaries to keep this big bad wolf out. I never let his tactics influence me again.
The funny thing about this book, it influence me to buy my first house made out of bricks. I did not know that my real house is my mind and my boundaries. Work hard at establishing my self worth. The big bad wolf can knock on my door anytime and try to blow my house down but he no longer have that power over me.
This is my personal review on how the Three Little Pigs story, change my life in building a stronger mindset foundation to keep myself safe from all the big bad wolves of this world.
