The sun hung low in the sky, casting a golden glow across the sleepy town of Riverton. Liam’s smile widened, and he motioned for Ethan to join him. “It’s nothing special. Just some sketches. But if you’re interested, take a look.”

Ethan hesitated, but something in Liam’s easygoing manner put him at ease. He slid into the seat across from Liam and glanced at the open notebook. The pages were filled with intricate drawings—scenes from around town, faces of people Ethan recognized, and abstract designs that seemed to dance on the paper.

“These are amazing,” Ethan said, genuinely impressed. “You’re talented.”

“Thanks,” Liam said with a shrug. “It’s just a hobby. Helps me clear my mind.”

Ethan nodded, the weight of Liam’s words settling over him. “I don’t know who I’m supposed to be,” he admitted. “But I know that when I’m with you, I feel…different. Like I’m seeing the world for the first time.”

Liam reached out and took Ethan’s hand, his touch gentle and reassuring. “Then maybe that’s the person you’re supposed to be. The one who sees the world through new eyes, who’s not afraid to be himself.”
