Joining the well-wishers in congratulating Rory McIlroy on his incredible Masters victory is Donald Trump.

On his way back to Washington from Florida, the US President, who had played golf with McIlroy in February, offered respect on Air Force One, stating that he had shown bravery by averting a "tragedy."

Trump said to reporters, "I have to congratulate Rory." That required a great deal of bravery. Even though he was struggling, he demonstrated incredible bravery, strength, and guts. People don't realise how difficult that is. He returned.

Things were better for him that things went that way because it was truly brave of him to recover from what could have been a catastrophe. As McIlroy won the Masters, his hometown golf club's supporters erupted despite being denied the opportunity to celebrate his achievement.

With a spectacular play-off victory over Justin Rose, McIlroy completed a career grand slam, leaving Holywood Golf Club 3,000 miles away in ecstasy.

Due to the club's bar licence, last orders were called at 10 p.m., and those who placed earlier orders had to finish their beverages by 10.30 p.m. Fans endured hours of drama when McIlroy eventually ended his 11-year wait for a fifth major, yet he still has his parking spot in the lot.

Ruth Watt, the lady captain of Holywood Golf Club, told the BBC, "I was so tired of nerves." We believed he had thrown it away, but the finish was incredible.

I'm having a gin and tonic at home. McIlroy was raised in Holywood, and students who excel in athletics at his school, Sullivan Upper, are given green blazers. Some sixth-formers, dressed in their green blazers, observed their idol.

After making the winning putt at Augusta, the 35-year-old hugged his wife of eight years, Erica Stoll, and broke down in tears of happiness. Then, in poignant moments on the course, he bent down to give his daughter Poppy a hug.

Following his thrilling triumph, Tiger Woods invited McIlroy to join golf's most elite club. McIlroy became the fourth player to win all four major championships, joining Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Ben Hogan, and Gene Sarazen.

Woods wrote on social media, "Welcome to the club @McIlroyRory." Finishing the grand slam at Augusta is a unique experience. You are now a part of history because of your perseverance during this round and the entire journey. I'm proud of you!

"I'm quite pleased for him. "I'm thrilled for him," Nicklaus remarked. It will relieve him of a lot of his burdens, and Rory McIlroy will now play a lot more excellent golf.

Nicklaus expressed his belief that McIlroy will miss his putt on the 18th hole in regulation play to his wife, Barbara. He added, "And he didn't (make the putt)." That has been his worst enemy. I initially thought that Justin's putt would not break left when he arrived there the second time (during the playoffs).

He will notice that, and he made a rather straight putt. which, I believe, it was. When he positioned it left-center, it remained there. "With some of Rory's shots, it takes a talented player to win."

Shane Lowry, a close friend of McIlroy, made a joke about how happy McIlroy would be to retire after winning the career grand slam.

For him, this is everything, Lowry told Golf Channel. This is the only thing he talks about and thinks about. I told Erica that he could retire right away since he always told me that once he earned the Green Jacket, he would be a happy guy.

"It's a credit to him that he has overcome so many obstacles in his ten and eleven years." After finishing in 21st place with a final score of 69, Tommy Fleetwood added

"As I've stated many times, I believe Rory to be our generation's best player. He hasn't needed to demonstrate it in a long time, in my opinion. It is quite remarkable that he has finally achieved this career grand slam. This time, in my opinion, was always going to arrive; Rory just gives you the impression that it won't. Rory's position in golf was assured regardless of what he did today, but this has only strengthened it further. He is among the finest of all time, and I think he is the best of our generation.

Following McIlroy's winning putt, three-time Masters champion Sir Nick Faldo was visibly moved as he commented. Subsequently shared on X: I've never had such a range of emotions in the commentary box.

"This is one of the rarest and most difficult achievements in all of sport," remarked Player, another three-time champion, adding that just six golfers in history have ever achieved it. Rory has undoubtedly set the bar for his time, and we are honoured to have him join our elite group.

It requires unrelenting tenacity and the bravery to overcome adversity repeatedly under unfathomable pressure for a person to win all four major titles. Rory shown unwavering perseverance both today and throughout the competition.

Nike quickly took advantage of the success by releasing a stylish advertisement as soon as McIlroy's win was official. It starts with a pimento cheese sandwich, which is a classic at the Masters, and then pans to a dry cleaner that turns around to show off a jacket from the Masters.

With "waiting for pickup" printed on the label of McIlroy's green jacket, the advertisement read, "This was always waiting for you."

Irish President Michael D. Higgins praised McIlroy's triumph as a "truly outstanding achievement" and joined political leaders from all over the island in celebrating it.

The First Minister of Northern Ireland, Michelle O'Neill, declared that the Holywood golfer was among the greatest in the sport because of his "incredible" victory.

"This is a significant moment in sports history, and it has made everyone back home very proud. It will encourage future generations to follow their aspirations," she wrote on X. "Rory, enjoy the well-earned festivities!"
