Amnion Arachnoid Membrane Water Bag

It is formed by three main internal parts of body Allantois, Chorion and Uterine wall. Its disc shaped.

  • Amnion: Its inner most layer that surround fetus filled with amniotic filled which protect baby.
  • Allantois: Its the middle placental layer, the main function of allantois is to drain fetal urine from urinary bladder
  • Chorion: Its outer most layer that attached to Endometrium, It basically provide respiration, nourishing, defecation (discharge).

Four Abnormal Types Of Placenta:

Placenta Previa:

It is attach to the wall of uterus that cover opening part of cervix.

Symptoms:

Painless Bleeding after 20th week of gestation

Cesarean delivery in many cases.

Types Of Placenta Previa:

  • Complete Placenta Previa: It fully cover opening of cervix
  • Partial Placenta Previa: Placenta partially covers cervix
  • Marginal Placenta: Its located adjacent to cervix but not cover the cervix

Placenta Accreta:

It is attached deeply into uterine wall

Placenta Increta:

Placenta attach into uterine muscle

Placenta Percreta:

When placenta goes completely to uterine wall and invading organs like bladder
