More Wine Please

Like an open conversation with self while being served wine at the bar

By Simone MariePublished 7 months ago 1 min read

Bartender!

Give me your best rosé,

My heart has begun to pump red and my mind just can’t dispose of this man.

I want it chilled, please.

Unlike he, who is always warm.

Wine can be many things in description, just like him.

Full-bodied and balanced could describe a glass of liquid bliss,

But I’d say the same if you told me to describe him.

For his skin is buttery,

Eyes mahogany,

Lips full,

Smile delicate.

His scent?

Whiskey-driven.

Smooth…enough to make you want more.

With just enough bite back to proceed with caution.

More wine, please!

It’s easy to get drunk on him,

For his aura presents the lightness in me.

One sip and I’m in too deep,

Doesn’t take much for me to catch his high.

Something quite addictive,

I’m continuously wanting more.

More words,

More hugs,

Give me more…

What was that?

Oh yeah, more wine, please!

Bartender, my heart has begun to overflow with red, so fill her up with pink instead.
