Story : The Window of the Internet
Character: Sandeep, 24 years old, BBS graduate, looking for a job
Chapter 1: Dark Days
Sandeep would wake up early in the morning – mobile in hand, worries in mind. Even his family would complain a little about his tired son looking for work at home. Some of his friends had gone abroad, some were preparing for government jobs.
Sandeep was just scrolling through YouTube.
But one day he saw a video – "The experience of a Nepali earning 50 thousand per month from Fiverr".
"Can I do it too?" he thought.
Chapter 2: A New Journey
Sandeep asked himself: What do I know?
• I can use Excel
• I am good at typing
• And I can write a little English
Then he created a Fiverr profile.
Gig Title: “I will do fast and accurate data entry in Excel”
It took 2 days to create the profile. For the first 15 days, not a single order came in.
“No one is interested,” he complained to himself.
Chapter 3: First Light
Day 21. 9:30 PM.
A notification came from Fiverr:
"You received a new order!"
An American client had given him a $5 job – to fill 200 rows of Excel.
Sandeep finished the job in 3 hours. The client was happy and gave him a 5-star review.
That night he went to bed hungry – happily!
Chapter 4: The New Sandeep
Time passed.
Now Sandeep was doing all sorts of gigs, Data Entry, Typing, Excel Dashboard.
Every customer would give a review:
“Fast, Friendly, Excellent!”
Within 6 months, he became a Level 2 Seller on Fiverr.
Now the work came naturally.
Monthly income: $600 (roughly Rs. 80,000)
Chapter 5: Family Pride
Now Sandeep has installed a new internet connection at home.
He started teaching his younger brother how to use a computer.
His mother had said:
“I used to say that the internet is just a waste of time, but you have brought light to the family through that window, father.”
Lesson / Moral: The internet is not just a time-waster – if used properly, it can be a window to change your life.
Thank You
