Incredibooks: The Linewalker Series
A review of the “Linewalker” book series by A.M. McCoy

What do you get when you mix lust, greed, deception and affection all into one big gumbo pot? You get the mind blowing Linewalker series by author A.M. McCoy. Comprised of two books: “Stalker” and “Psycho”, the Linewalker series is the story of an inner circle of passionate, yet edgy lovers as they navigate their turbulent lives of crime, crooks and kinks.
The first story “Stalker” chronicles the newfound journey of a young girl named Peyton who has just started working for a wealthy man named Lincoln. Peyton has just started working this job as a great new opportunity to make ends meet. Peyton also has some very kinky stalker fantasies lurking in her mind. She would in time begin to act on them while performing her duties for the wealthy Scrooge known Lincoln. Peyton later encounters a mysterious and dominating figure who goes by the alias “Dane” who has been watching Peyton in the distance and becomes her kink partner who aids her in acting on her dark fantasies.
Lincoln is the wealthy employer of the newly employed Peyton. He comes off as very grumpy to those who have had the pleasure or displeasure of his company. Underneath this grouchy exterior he is revealed to have a soft side, one that is surprisingly empathetic and understanding. Lincoln is also revealed to be the mysterious kink lover under the alias of “Dane” who has been playing games with Peyton behind the scenes.
Peyton and Lincoln (Dane)’s relationship is marred by secrecy, seduction and silent danger that hangs the lives of both the guilty and the innocent caught in the crosshairs.
“Psycho” is the spin-off to “Stalker” centered around the friends and family member of the two central characters of “Stalker”. With “Psycho” we dig deeper into the personal relationships of the main characters. “Psycho” is a story marked by danger, unexpected romance and an unintended sense of humanity from individuals who would otherwise be considered inhumane by the rest of society. Through “Psycho” lust turns into love and the bad turn into the benevolent. The reader is kept on edge the entire way through.
I’ll start off by saying that if you are into edgy stories with a hint of kink, dare I say, then this series is definitely for you. When A.M. McCoy wrote this series she made sure to keep the reader on edge with her thrills and intrigued with the forbidden romances explored by the characters. As I was reading I kept having moments when I had to stop and laugh to myself like “yo this is crazy”. The kink, edge and thrills are in part complimented by humor. The subtle humor in the story does a great job at cutting the tension, keeping your mind fresh for the unexpected bang that is set to collide with your emotions.
The character development is also perfect. The characters in this series are the very definition of don’t judge a book by its cover, no pun intended. For better and worse, no one in this series is truly what they present themselves to be. The good guys aren’t so good and even the bad guys aren’t so bad. First impressions in this series will definitely lead you astray, but will also bring you an entertaining degree of shock if you’ll welcome it in.
The third entry in the series titled “Bully” is soon to be released. Once again it will surround the relatives of the characters from the two previous entries and I for one am certainly interested in where this is gonna go. If you have a liking for an edgy and seductive thriller of a series go read the Linewalker series by A.M. McCoy.
