From Friendship to Something More

A guy is conflicted about how to propose

By storydreamer35Published 2 years ago 1 min read

As we walked out from the theatre, I felt something in my mind. I asked her something. She answered me with a smile. As she was smiling, her eyes were getting smaller. That time I felt my hear racing. It was like a butterfly rushing through my body. We both started walking on the road. As I was walking a brisk wind swept through the street, sending a shiver down my spine. Seeing her walking beside me, my immediate thought was, 'I wanna hold her hand.' I quickly snapped back to reality. 'Get a grip on yourself, man. She is your friend,' I thought. I still think about it. So I finally built up the courage and planned to propose to her. I looked into the mirror and started practicing. I was continually walking and talking. I will say, 'Will you—arrgh!' I took a deep breath. I will say, 'Will you go out with me? I know I am not the perfect guy, but I hope you can bear with me.' I can't belive I am here. My heart is beating rapidly. Don't mess this up. I am walking towards her. She says, 'Hey, how is your day going?' I say, 'As usual, what about you?' She says, 'Well, same. I have some stories to tell you.' I say, 'I also have something to tell you.' She says, 'Ok.' Now it is time, man. Say it. I say, 'Bear out with me.' She gives me a confused look and says, 'Huh?' I say, 'Let's grab a meal.' We walk into a restaurant and sit at one table. We order our meal. She keeps talking. Our food comes. We start talking and eating. Suddenly she asks me, 'So when are you gonna ask me out?' I choke on my meat pie. I say, 'Was it obvious?' She says, 'We have been hanging out multiple times and we also went to the movies.' I seriously don't know what to say as it is sudden. Maybe you guys can help me.
