Eclipse In Velvet

Velvet Noir Society: Dark Poetry

By Latoya M.Delbridge Published 4 months ago 1 min read

You covered me like dying light,

A velvet eclipse swallowing night.

With every hush, the silence grew,

And I became both grave and dew.

You moved in shadows, lithe and

low,

A danger wrapped in evening’s

glow.

Though I knew you'd leave me

hollow—

Your touch was all I'd dare to

follow
