A thing about social media

So I was having a conversation with a friend of mine, one thing lead to another, and I had to ask her to check up her crush which she mentioned during our conversation on IG to know him better. But she told me she is not following him on Instagram, and I asked why,( because we tend to stalk our celebrity crushes on SM) she said she’s really not in social media, because she doesn’t want to feel oppressed and pressured by what people post, having to compare her life with others, she is trying to avoid over thinking, seen who is making it and who is not.

Then I said to her, yeah, social media is a very wild and toxic place to be in , you see a lot of people and opinions here and there, people post whatever they like, it’s left for us to control social media and not letting it control us . We can decide to see the positive side of social media, we can also see it as an inspiration, we learn and relearn from social media, and also decide to take a break from it. So, It all depends on how we see it , but let me ask, What is life without social media?☺️🙃
