A sense of Purpose.
“Hogwarts is my home,”- Harry Potter.
What is a book that changed me? That has to be a tough question to answer because I have so many books that have inspired me and changed me. If I had to choose just one, Harry Potter would be that book.
Harry Potter has changed me and inspired me in so many different ways. I’ve read the series at least a few dozen times and each time I read the book it feels like I learn a different lesson each time depending on were I am in life.
Harry Potter is one of those books where you can open them up a thousand times and it will still feel like home. I feel the same as Harry when he says, “Hogwarts is my home.”
There’s no better place to call home than Hogwarts. Especially, when life isn’t the brightest. It’s not just an escape but reading Harry Potter gives a sense of feelings on being able to see the light at the end of the storm. Also, somehow you feel like your thoughts and feelings are validated because having the right people in your life makes it just a little bit better.
Everyone goes through things in their lives but knowing you don’t have to go through it alone gives a nice feeling. It also gives a different prospect to see how each person reacts, goes through, and what their roles are in, and around the one who shall not be named. Everyone has their own experience and point of view on it and doesn’t make it any less or any more valid then anyone else’s. Harry Potter taught me that everyone is valid and valued in life. Shouldn’t be so quick to judge.
Two of my favourite quotes from the J.K Rowling, Harry Potter;
“Happiness can be found, in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light,” Albus Dumbledore
“Of course, it’s happening inside your head, Harry. Why should that mean it’s not real,” Albus Dumbledore.
