Take Care of Your Skin, without breaking the Bank.
Skincare that doesn't cost the earth
In todays world, it can be very difficult to be who you are, and do beauty your way. There are many magazines and other media sources who are often telling us how we should look, and many are developing trends that are designed to sell their products. However, I am not saying this is a bad thing, of course if we like a product and it is individual to us, of course there is nothing wrong with using or trying it. What I am saying, is people have their own vulnerabilities and insecurities which means some people, particularly young people will use a product because it is seen as 'trendy' or 'popular' and can sometimes throw out perceptions of ideas that this may seem to be the 'wonder product' that will get rid of all their flaws and make them look perfect. We live in a world where everyone is under pressure to be an 'ideal' rather than themselves, perfect face, makeup, figure and style, though this is not the way it is in real life. Products are marketed in this way to sell a product, but it is your own personal choice regarding what you use, products are not marketed in this way to force you to buy them, they are marketed in this way to make them more appealing and encourage people to buy them if they want to. Nobody is going to crucify you for not wanting to use them, so do beauty your way.
The market for beauty products is very wide-ranging, and some of these products can be overly priced. You do not have to buy these just because everybody else appears to have them, it is a personal choice and should be based on your own individuality. I buy quite a bit of make-up from AVON, sometimes around £30 worth, however with Avon's reasonable prices, I get quite a bit for my money. Of course, like many companies, AVON have a few expensive products but I am never obliged to buy them, it is a choice. They sell some quality make-up, bath products, skin care and even clothes and house hold goods for reasonable prices. The make-up does not fade and they sometimes have offers like 2 for £10 and so on. I love the bath products and shower-gels in particular, they come in different sizes and a small 500ml is around £2.50, while the litre bottles are just a couple of pounds more. They smell delicious and they make bath time worth it. My particular favourite is the Jasmine bubble bath, it doesn't just fragrance and moisturize my skin, it smells amazing and fragrances my whole room. I have dry skin and excema and these are never agitated by these products, though I can not use their shampoos because I have a scalp condition and fragile hair so I opted for L'Oréal's Botanicals in Lavender which soothes my scalp, protects my hair and leaves it soft. After four weeks of using this product, I am now having less hair loss too. This is available in a 400ml bottle for £7.99 at https://www.feelunique.com/
Because my hair is fragile I do not like using elastic bands to tie it back, so I brush it with a soft bristled brush and when I do tie it back, I use scrunchies, soft head-bands and soft gripping clips, though mostly I prefer to wear it down.
While I love my make-up, I never wear a lot. I wear it so it can be seen but not overloaded. Most of the time, I apply a primer, then a bronzer, eyeshadow, mascara and a lipstick of which the color depends on what mood I am in, though I like to apply a little more and play a bit when I'm going out somewhere special. I like to keep my brows in shape with a beauty trimmer of which there are many about which vary in price. A beauty trimmer enables me to trim my eye brows safely. I have a scar across one of my brows after I split the skin open covering my brow when I was very young, so I can't pluck or use anything overly sharp on it. A beauty trimmer enables me to shape and trim my eyebrows all at once, and in a safe manner.
Cleansing my skin can be difficult and this is where most of my expense comes in, however I only need a little, so I buy it once a month. My face is very sensitive, prone to dryness and around my period, spots. I use Clinique's 'All about Clean' which is a mild soap cleaner for the face, and it doesn't cause problems with my skin, and an added bonus is it literally clears the spots that occur around my period pretty fast. It costs £18.00 for a 200ml bottle, but it is worth investing in if you have skin problems. Find out more here: https://www.clinique.co.uk/
I mentioned AVON earlier. Cannabis has been proven to have many benefits in skin care, and AVON do a Cannabis Sativa based Moisturising cream for the face. My face as I said earlier is prone to dryness and is sensitive, meaning I have to moisturise more. This moisturiser is perfect; it absorbs fast, soothes the dryness away, and doesn't sting like others I have tried.
Beauty is an individual and personal part of you. The ideas in this article are just suggestions for you to try that work well for me. Everybody is beautiful in their own way, and as I said earlier you don't have to follow trends to fit in.
Thankyou for reading my work. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did creating it. Remember you can leave me a tip, though it isn't an obligation and hearts are free and they serve me well.
