The Essence of Winter
Who doesn’t love the holidays? Aside from being my favorite time of year it also happens to be my birthday month. Something that always puts me in a great mood is trying out new looks every year. With the changing trends and updating techniques so many people follow, recording them for YouTube has always made it easier to look back on and remember how things were done. Learning new ways to apply, utilize, and experimenting with new products has always been a passion of mine. I love testing out new ideas as well. Creating this look was probably one of the many I did this year. It reminded me of the holidays when I was a kid. As a teenager I never really did makeup on myself as much as I wish I did. I was always on Youtube looking at the gurus at that time to get inspiration for doing my own makeup. I joined Youtube in April of 2007, and I think about it. Now I wish I would have done way more creating as of then. Where would I be now? It’s never too late to get started. The beauty industry is still booming!! As well as it's only growing larger by the changing of the trends, and audiences likes, and dislikes. Maybe, just maybe, this coming year will be my year! Let’s do it, let’s get the ball rolling and growing like a snowball. Everything starts from somewhere right?! Yup, I thought so!!

My Top 6 Makeup Products of 2017
With the thousands of products that are released at Sephora, it can be daunting to walk into beauty stores. Before I tested and tried as much makeup as I do now, I just grabbed whatever the sales representative suggested. However, hopefully, with my favorite products that I have tried in 2017, it can give you some ideas on what to grab!

Face Paint
Maybe I should wear makeup. I never thought I needed it, but I feel you don't like what you see. Maybe I should pick up a brush and create something new. Would I be enough for you with paint on my face and pink powder on my cheeks? Would I be the kind of girl you'd show off to your friends if I wore more feminine clothes covered in flowers and lace? If my hair were longer, if I had a straight smile, if I flipped my hair back every time I laughed, would I be pretty then?

Christmas Red Lipstick
Red is the color that adds flare to any outfit, any season, any event. Flare is something that tends to make you feel more energetic and alive. It really can bring life into a makeup look that helps you feel ready for anything you have planned. I think red lipstick is great this Christmas holiday season. Red lipstick has a wonderful, energizing look and feel that can add a great pop of color you need, even when you don't know you need it. At least, that is what I have experienced wearing red lipstick. So, is this the season of red?

The Story About My Acne
I was laying in bed on a Saturday morning, as I stretched my legs to the edge of the bed. I slowly propped myself up into a sitting position and I was startled to see my reflection in the mirror that was hanging on the wall facing towards me. My face had a completely different texture, from the last time I had seen myself. “Since when did my face get this terrible?” I wondered as I stroked the numerous inflamed red bumps that formed on the surface of my skin. The sides of my cheeks, my forehead, and my nose were completely covered in acne. I quickly looked away from the mirror in disgust and I made my way towards the bathroom. I begin washing my hands, trying to avoid thinking about the condition of my face; however, the bathroom mirror never lies. This time, I was much closer to my reflection and my acne was ten times more visible and more apparent. I looked away from the mirror again. I did not want to see myself anymore, nor did I want anyone else to see me.

Dark Lip Stick
Let’s talk about dark lipstick. Over the past year, I’ve become more interested in actually partaking in the social norms of being a girl. By social norms, I’m referring to styling my hair, creating fashion combinations that aren’t just t shirts and jeans every single day, and wearing more noticeable make up. I’ve liked this one tube of lip gloss an awful lot since the summer. It was one my mom didn’t use anymore and had somehow ended up in my stage make up bag. After wearing it for Anything Goes, I found that I actually really liked the color. I would wear it more often, and if I was seeing someone I wanted to impress, you could bet that lip gloss was in my pocket.

Natural Beats Fake
I would imagine that this piece will be quite unusual for this part of the site. I am male and what I intend to write about will probably be unusual. I have no idea if my personal views are rare among other men or among the female readers I might get. This piece has come about after discussions with my girlfriend, especially before a party at our house recently. I love her and the way she looks, but I don’t want her making loads of effort to look better, or at least better in her eyes. I don’t want her to do all the usual things you will see advertised to change how you look, the things that fill magazines and TV adverts.
