Why I Shave My...
Face. There, I said it. I shave my face. I know a lot of you are worrying, won’t the hair grow back thicker? Won’t it grow back darker? What if I get a rash? I know. There are so many questions and several things to consider with shaving your face. It isn’t really considered "the norm" for a female to shave their face, is it? You must think… well, there must be reasons for that. But no, there isn’t really.

The Picture That Spoke a Few Thousand Characters
Meaningless notifications from the Linkedin app led me to my girlfriends profile; A beautiful black woman. After 10 seconds of scrolling the news feed, then 20 seconds of adding random people with cool pics, and titles, I see her. I had never seen this picture, and I was filled with a weird anxious feeling. I get like this whenever she posts pictures on Social Media, which is rare. Her popping up on my feed, is like an Easter Egg in a Marvel movie, or actually seeing a unicorn walk down the street. Its always a rare sighting, and I'm always freaked out for some reason. I texted her to tell her how beautiful the picture was, and how I felt seeing it, and then some more compliments; that I hope she enjoyed as well. I closed the apps, and went back to listening to The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi on YouTube.

None of us are getting any younger and we need to act fast; let’s jump right into it. I’ve tested these all out for myself. They're all effective, and these three are definitely my favorite. All very easy to make and to apply.

Skincare Routine
Growing up, my skin had always been clear and smooth and it is something I’m grateful for. But recently, my face began to get oily and I would have a few pimples coming out now and then, at a point I even had this annoying rash on my forehead but I think that was due to school stress. I tried using medicated powder but it was of no use, I finally got this medicated soap called ‘Tetmosol’, it cleared the rash but I still had pimples and my face was rough still, especially in my T zone (T zone includes the forehead, the nose, and the chin, because they form a T). I didn’t do anything about it at first, after all, my pimples were gone, right?

10 Reasons You Need to Try Facial Beauty Rollers. Top Story - April 2018.
As we get older, our skin slowly starts to lose its youthful glow. We deal with teenage acne, gain crow's feet from constantly straining our eyes, and overall see fine lines and wrinkles around our mouth and forehead as our age goes up. Our bodies change, too, like getting stretch marks from pregnancy or rapidly gaining or losing weight. We dwell on the fact that our youthful-looking skin will soon be substituted with wrinkled, scarred skin and we assume that nothing will bring us back to the days when our skin was spotless and plump.
