4 STEP SKINCARE ROUTINE FOR BUSY MORNINGS
What with all the Korean 10-step routine the new hottest thing in skincare, piecing together a basic skincare routine may seem daunting, particularly once you have zero clues and zero time. For those just beginning on their skincare trip, we at Credocto have broken down the essential steps of any morning skincare regimen.
As a general rule of thumb, layer your merchandise in a sequence of consistency, going from thinnest to thickest. In other words, go from products containing the most water to those comprising water.
Why? So that the oilier, thicker layers can seal from the earlier layers. Additionally, after applying oilier products, it is more difficult for the skin to absorb the active ingredients from water-based serums. With this in mind, let us go through the steps:
STEP 1: CLEANSE
Do this daily routine, at least twice a day, and every time that your skin is exposed to incredibly sweaty situations (spin cycle, anybody?). We are the Main HQ are big believers in double cleansing, but we all have this morning when this is not an option. If you overlook your alarms, use micellar water or some facial wipes to cleansing - it'll do the job and tide your skin over until your night routine.
STEP 2: TONE/TREAT
The particular care determines this measure your skin needs, whether generally or on that specific day. All of serums and treatment products fall within this category. Our Glow Toner is your ultimate multi-tasker - containing 3% Glycolic acid to exfoliate gently and a range of botanicals to soothe and balance your skin, it is the perfect one-stop for busy routines!
STEP 3: MOISTURISE
One of the most commonly held misconceptions is that people with oily skin do not need to moisturize. In reality, excess sebum production is frequently the result of dehydrated skin trying to replenish itself. Therefore, keeping skin moisturized can often be a remedy for oily skin. Dry or oily, this measure is not to be missed.
STEP 4: SUNSCREEN
No matter how busy you are, remember your sunscreen if it is daytime. Yes, this still applies even if you're indoors (windows don't block UV rays!).
Many skincare issues we wish to aim, such as hyperpigmentation and signs of ageing, are direct outcomes of unprotected exposure to sunlight! Use a sunscreen that offers broad-spectrum protection, comes with an SPF of 30 or higher and is water-resistant. We like to keep a mini with us always, so we can reapply every two hours when sweating it out in tacky Karachi heat.
